Silly Mind

Silly thoughts, silly ideas,
Silly dreams, silly fantasies
Resides in my silly mind

Silly standards, silly principles
Silly ethics, silly expectations
Overpower my silly mind

I cannot use wisdom for myself
I cannot be truthful to my inner self
As I owe my being to my loved ones

So the only thing now left with me,
The only thing I can call mine
Is everything silly, in my silly mind.

The Divine Guiding Light

The godsend light that reaches me
Despite the barrier of distance, straight to me
Illuminating my heart; Lighting up my soul
Dispelling my darkness; purifying me all

I was wandering in the wilderness, dark and deep
So lost was I, no track of direction I could keep
When darkness kept calling me by its deep side
A ray of light shone upon me as my guide

The light with a certain touch of divinity
Bringing me the peace of spirituality
The light, I wish would beam on me forever
As the guiding light of my creative endeavor.

The light that now penetrates inside my core
Assuages and heals the wounds that are sore
Filling the vacuum which existed in my heart
Giving inspirations to move towards a new head start.

Birth of Paradise (A Ghazal In English)

The day when this earth got a piece of paradise
And it brought with itself, the bliss of paradise.

A pleasing fragrance engulfed the earth
As flowers descended from the garden of paradise.

An idyllic ambiance spread everywhere
Refreshing the earth with breeze of paradise.

Luxuriance prevailed all over the landscape
As thirsty land witnessed the rains of paradise.

An unprecedented gaiety filled the air
As earth got blessed with luxuries of paradise.

A unique wave of serenity swished through everywhere
As divine winds brought this earth, the peace of paradise.

Smiles floated in the earth and the sky
With birth of the angel named PARADISE.

Poetic Words (A Ghazal In English)

Though you camouflage your pains in poetic words
I acknowledge your deepest ache in my poetic words.

Though my mind remains completely in disarray
I try my best to reflect your soul through poetic words.

Though happiness eludes me, I do not care
I make sure your sorrows do not elude my poetic words.

Though your mask of happiness hides the truth
There is reflection of your sadness in my poetic words.

Though there are millions of things that could inspire
Somehow I end-up getting inspired by your poetic words.

Though I can’t hear the rhythmic beats of your heart
The luminance of your soul enrich my poetic words.

Though I admit my fascination for your poetic words
I regret you misread innocence of my poetic words.
