Look Deep Inside –A Ghazal

In your heart look deep inside,

To find the truth peep inside.

When you see reign of evil,

Does your heart weep inside?

Or you have closed both the eyes,

To let falsehood seep inside.

Why not shun prejudice and,

All hatred you keep inside.

O’ Shahid, The Lord is there,

Let not despair creep inside.

Influence of your voice

Never knew your voice would mean so much to me,

Never knew I would fall for your voice conclusively.

The way you start to speak in an engaging tone,

My mind starts to follow your words attentively.

Your voice reflect sparkle of your eyes in such a way,

That I could catch that radiance of joy vividly.

The right amount of pauses seeps deep into my mind,

While my heart value the punctuation done immaculately.

My heart skips a beat when you fluff with a sheepish tone,

And it leaps when you speak with laughter laced in it tentatively.

The soft fade with which you conclude your speech,

Entraps my peace seeking soul with its serenity.

There must be some magnetic pull in your voice,

That you enslave all of my being phonetically.

अजब नूर से पुर-नूर हो तुम

वैसे तो बस सादा-रू इंसान ज़रूर हो तुम,

लेकिन एक अजब नूर से पुर-नूर हो तुम |

इंसानों सी नफ़्स-ए-अम्मारा है तुममे,

फिर भी हर फरेब से कितनी दूर हो तुम |

फरिश्तों सी फितरत और मासूमियत,

फिर भी इंसानों सी मजबूर हो तुम |

सब्र-ए-अय्युब जैसे हो समाया तुममें,

लगता है पसंदे- अस-सबूर हो तुम |

बस सुरूर-ए-ग़ज़ल से ही मदहोश कर दे,

ऐसे फ़न्न-ए-सुख़न से भरपूर हो तुम |

ऐसी तलकिनी शख्सियत का तिलिस्म ही तो है,

कि अब तो कलम-ए-शाहिद का गुरूर हो तुम |

A New Beginning

Life is such a mystery,

It is so hard to solve.

The more you are resilient;

The more it breaks your resolve.

The moment you think,

All your problems are solved.

The very next moment you find,

All your respite, getting dissolved.

Moments of happiness looks fleeting;

It flies away at supersonic speed.

For eternal happiness and comfort,

Is all we cherish, desire and need.

Moments of hardship seems long-lasting;

It gives us no choice, but to bear and strive.

However, it is as essential as food and water,

Which gives us strength and keeps us alive.

Moments of laughter and grief,

And the cycle of misery and mirth,

Is as recurring and as perennial as,

The cycle of death and birth.

There is no point in wasting the present,

over unattainable and worthless pinning.

But we can discover new happiness,

By rediscovering ourselves with a new beginning.
