Writer's Block

It seems writer’s block has hit me hard

Which I find so difficult to discard

The junky, incoherent thoughts in my mind

With so many distractions not letting me unwind

The cacophony of dirty political sound

Unbearable filthy language all around

The standard of politics falling day by day

Liars, corrupts and thugs having their way

However hard I try to resist,

The cricket fever still continues to persist

Though the game has lost much of its innocence

My love for the game never lessens

In the process, my creativity took backseat

It vaporized somewhere in summer heat

Don’t know how to unclutter my mind

And leave the distractions far behind.
