For long, I resisted all the
temptation
Denying and escaping my
inclination
To pen down my thoughts in words
And let them fly like free birds
For long, I succumbed to the
selfish worldly noise
Ignored and crushed the pleas of
my inner voice
I was lost in wilderness,
couldn’t make it through
Didn’t know how wrong I was until
I found you
I was an unused guitar with loose
unmusical strings
You pulled them and strummed with
your magical ring
And I started to play mesmerizing
melodic tunes
As if a majestic palace recreated
out of ancient ruins
Just like Midas your touch turned
me into gold
I started to shine since I came
into your fold
You showed me the place where I
belong
Now I can touch hearts like love
song.
